Last Year’s Nest is my first publication, containing portraits and nudes, all shot in the grassy fields of the Polder Ronde Hoep, south of Amsterdam. During two months of May I shot these images on black&white film, printed them on rough and open paper. Gritty and soaking with ink. In collaboration with the portrayed women picturing the female body in a free, honest and poetic way, I am searching in this book for a -dare I say- modest piece of the Sublime. Laying in te Grass, close to the Earth, feeling Free. Nothing more to it. Life is sweet.
